My two cents on the phone.
It took Apple to tell the big phone makers Nokia, Sony Ericsson, and Motorola on how to do appealing UIs, for that matter making it user friendly.
And it took ATT to rely on Apple to make a big splash in the minds of mobile consumers again. I am happy for them though. Special affection for GSM.
The one thing that I did not like was the keyboard. I think, the Blackberrys, Palms and other PDA beat iphone to it. The reason I say that is, because if you are business person, you are constantly on IM or Email. And it takes double the time to type a IM or email on iphone.
I dont like the screen, gets all my fingerprints over it.
The other interesting thing is, they dont have a 3G radio. You pay 600 dollar, for a bad patchy 2.5G service (Dont give me the Edge spin here) its a bad investment for next 2 years.
In addition, to sell in rest of the world, You need a 3G radio. Or did they think, they would have WIFI coverage all over the world.
And, whats the deal, with I cannot change my SIM. Its not the phone, but your friendly ATT to blame here. Locking you to their service.
Maybe there is a reason for it. For them to put a 3G radio may hurt the battery on the phone. But still, the real reason could be that, they have to source a 3G radio from big platform vendors like SNE, NOk, but they couldnt bring down the price. Just my guess.
But then who cares, its going to revolutionize the IMS now. One device which can do voice data, over Cellular and WIFI, and also do music and video.
Their next step would be to integrate with Apple TV (God , get that resolution straight in the first version, we have only so much pocket money left), and integrate it with Itunes.
So if I am travelling, I can watch my Web TV Channel on iphone, while my wife watches the same on the IPTV at home.

Now I am ready to blog
Ok, now I am in, finally ready to blog and blog away my thoughts on the next curve in technology. Being out there as a enterpreneur, I am always on the look out for new ideas. I will post them here for your comments. Beware, they may be good, very good, or downright ugly. But hopefully one of them would have the potential to make money.
Cheers
